File Prep

1. FILE TYPES WE ACCEPT

We prefer .AI, .EPS, .PDF, .PSD, .TIFF and will accept .JPG, .GIF. and .PNG. The key to art submission is to make sure you’ve created Hi-Res artwork. Preferably, you will have created this to be the same size as the art you’d like printed.

All files must be 300dpi at actual size. If you’re using Adobe Illustrator, Freehand, or other vector-based software, all you need to do is set your document to the size you want your graphic to be.

Outputting a hi-res .AI or .PSD file will be the best way to ensure a quick turnaround and avoid extra file prep charges.

Preferred File Types

2. LAYERS

If possible, leave your artwork in layers. It makes it a lot easier for us to separate and put onto screens and gives us more flexibility

3. CONVERTING TEXT TO OUTLINES

We need you to convert your text to outlines to make sure the design comes out exactly as you want it. If we don’t have the font you used, Illustrator will find a font substitute for it and could drastically change the look.

Here’s how to convert your text to outlines:
In Illustrator, highlight your text, then select:
Type > Create Outlines
In Photoshop, highlight your text layer, then select:
Layer > Rasterize > Type

4. PANTONES

If you have access to a Pantone Swatchbook, please include the desired colors to be used in your print. This ensures that your colors will be matched as precisely as possible. We use a Pantone Solid Coated Swatchbook to mix our colors.

5. IT NEVER HURTS TO DOUBLE CHECK

Is everything present? Does the design fit in the max print area? Is everything spelled correctly?

6. SUBMISSION

Artwork submissions can be either uploaded via our “Get a quote” page or simply email to us as an attachment to orders@galleryaka.com
